Reach Compliance

The new EU Chemicals regulation REACH came into force on 1st June 2007.

We would like to advise our customers of the steps we are taking in order to discharge our responsibilities under REACH and ensure continuity of supply to customers.

• As a first step we have subscribed to the CIA - REACH Ready Gold Service.  This should ensure we have access to the latest information and guidance to help us manage our data.
• At this stage we intend to pre-register all the substances we supply in accordance with the time-scales laid down.  However, no promise can be given that we will offer all existing products over the 11 year phase if REACH registration involves unacceptable costs for certain items, we would in this instance discuss with our customers an alternative solution.
• As a downstream user of substances we are also consulting with our suppliers to ascertain their intentions regarding REACH and will ensure that our uses are covered by the relevant registrations.
• We will co-operate with our customers and suppliers to ensure all end uses are included in the relevant exposure scenarios subject to commercial confidentiality restrictions.
