AVOCET DYES include acid, basic, disperse, reactive, solvent and pigments.

Polyester/wool and wool/polyamide blends are catered for by the speciality dye ranges AVOPOL XS, AVOCET M , CETALAN AV and CETALAN WN.

Dyes have been categorised under their generic index with mixture dyes being included at the end of each colour section. Speciality mixture dyes are listed separately together with a brief description of their properties.

Acid dyes

Avocet carries an extremely diverse range of acid dyes covering all major classes.

We have dyes suitable for all substrates and application techniques, whether loose fibre, piece or yarn on hank or package.

CETACID/AVONYL L - level dyeing acid dyes.

The dyes are all metal free.

Pre-dominately used for pale shades where good levelling properties are critical. Most dyes have excellent good light fastness with moderate wet fastness properties.

CETACID/AVONYL M - milling acid dyes.

The dyes are metal free with the exception of Cetacid Turquiose M 8G 160%

These dyes are in general extensively used for production of bright shades. Ideal for bright lemon yellow, orange, scarlet, vivid pinks and violets, besides the brightest blue, turquoise and green hues. They should be selected when higher wet fastness is required over and above that provided by CETACID/AVONYL L. In general they have moderate to high wet fastness properties and high light fastness.

CETALAN AV - weakly acid dyeing milling dyes.

The dyes are all metal free.

Specially selected range of weakly acid dyeing milling dyes. Well balanced range for pale to medium shades. The dyes have moderate wet fastness and light fastness properties. The tri-chromatic combination provides good partition on wool/nylon blends when used with LEVECET WNA as the reserving agent. Wide colour pallet makes this range extremely versatile and is especially suitable for carpet production.

CETALAN WN - mixture of milling and 1:2 metal complex dyes

Designed to fit between CETALAN AV and AVOCET M, these dyes provide maximum brightness of shade combined with excellent fastness properties. They are an ideal basis for deep rich colours when levelness, partition, build up and excellent exhaustion are key factors.

They can be shaded with either CETALAN AV or AVOCET M dyes as required.

CETALAN BLUE BC.WN is metal free.

AVOCET M - 1:2 metal complex/reactive dyes

Very high wet fastness properties. AVOCET M dyes plus AVOSOL ALM are the perfect combination for dyeing wool in all forms at pH 4.5 - 5.0 for minimum fibre damage. Excellent fastness, exhaustion and repeatability makes this range of 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyes extremely versatile especially for carpet production.

AVOCET M dyes are applied at pH 4.5 - 5.0 as this minimises wool damage during the dyeing process.

AVOCRON - 1:2 metal complex dyes

Full range of 1:2 metal complex dyes providing dyes of high wet fastness on both wool and nylon fibres.

The new range to be added is AVOCRON MHFS - specifically aimed at the high specification polyamide processors. These specially selected dyes covers a wide shade range with high light and wet fastness properties.

They are also suitable for "ChromoJet" printing techniques.

REACTOLAN - reactive dyes for wool

These dyes provide the very highest degree of wet fastness for meeting the requirements of the most critical standards. Excellent light fastness properties are also a feature of these dyes.

The dyes are metal free.
