A dedicated R&D department in dye application and technology staffed by our technical team is able to provide expert knowledge on application and processing to achieve optimum efficiency.
Avocet has a strong heritage in the carpet sector with a depth of products and expertise. Through product innovation in partnership with our clients we are able to provide more dye ranges for wool and wool/nylon carpet than any other dye manufacturer. Carpet sector sales extend from the UK and Mainland Europe to North Africa, India and South East Asia.
Avocet also has extensive expertise in the manufacture of dyes for polyester/wool blends. We have over 30 years experience in this field and have developed and marketed many unique dye ranges to cover all the major blend ratios and fastness requirements.
Whether you are dyeing the traditional blend of 55/45 Polyester/Wool or more recently 60/40 Wool/Polyester we have it covered. The dyes are also well suited to blends containing Elastane (Polyurathane) fibres. We can blend and formulate to suit individual requirements and welcome your enquiries.

Avocet carries an extremely diverse range of acid dyes covering all major classes.We have dyes suitable for all substrates and application techniques, whether loose fibre, piece or yarn on hank or package. Selected dyes are suited to pale and dark shades with good fastness properties even when applied to polyamide micro-fibres.
Environmental and Sustainability issues are also addressed as many of the dye ranges are metal free.
Very high wet fastness properties. AVOCET M dyes plus AVOSOL ALM are the perfect combination for dyeing polyamide fibres in all forms. Excellent fastness, exhaustion and repeatability makes this range of 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyes extremely versatile especially for carpet production.
AVOCET M dyes are applied at pH 4.5 - 5.0 as this minimises wool damage during the dyeing process.

AVOCRON DS dyes are high performance, high concentration 2:1 metal complex dyes containing sulpho groups. They have high wet fastness properties and are well suited to dyeing wool, polyamide and silk fibres. They are also suitable for blend dyeing, including wool/polyamide and other wool blends with synthetic fibres or cellulosics.
Dyes designated with M prefix are extremely bright.
Avocron Yellow KMF and Red KMS are especially blended for use on wool/polyamide blends for good partition between the fibres.

The dyes are metal free with the exception of Cetacid Turquiose M 8G 160%. These dyes are in general extensively used for production of bright shades. Ideal for bright lemon yellow, orange, scarlet, vivid pinks and violets, besides the brightest blue, turquoise and green hues. They should be selected when higher wet fastness is required over and above that provided by AVONYL L. In general they have moderate to high wet fastness properties and high light fastness. A tri-chromatic combination is available within the range as highlighted #. However most dyes should be selected based on acheiving the desired shade with minimal additional shading to avoid blocking.
