17th April 2020

Dear Valued Customer/Supplier,

COVID-19 - update

The COVID-19 global pandemic remains a challenging problem for all businesses throughout the world. The safety of our colleagues and families remain our priority. Since the beginning of this current situation Avocet has implemented a combination of social distancing and home working and as a result of this Avocet remains fully operational throughout this crisis. Our staff are working extremely hard and we have seen an increase in demand during the last few weeks as many of our customers needed to increase orders due to their products being crucial to the fight against COVID-19.

The restrictions put in place by the UK Government were extended for a further three weeks on the 16th April and will be subject to another review on 7th May. It is expected that these restrictions will remain in place for some time. We are now beginning to see some European countries start the process of easing restrictions and making the first tentative steps to restarting parts of their economies. We hope that this is a positive sign and that in due course the UK will follow suit.

It remains important for all involved in the supply chain to understand the needs of customers and the capability of suppliers. The Avocet sales team and support staff remain available to discuss how we can support your current and future requirements for products, deliveries, stock holding, overseas shipments and logistics. Avocet is monitoring the situation worldwide and proactively contacting our customers, however please do not hesitate to get in touch with information that will help Avocet to deliver the products you need when you need them.

We sincerely hope that everyone remains safe and well during these difficult times. Avocet will continue to monitor developments and you can be sure we will update our customers and suppliers as the situation continues to evolve.

Yours faithfully

Michael A Lever CCol ASDC
